• Question: Would you get internet on mars?

      I’m sure your accommodation pod would have a free wifi service – the trouble is that the signals take nearly 14mins to reach earth and the response takes as long to get back… so you’d click on facebook (for example) and you’d have to wait 28 minutes for your log in page to appear.
      The way they would overcome this would be to select the few sites you’d actually need and stream these into a hard drive in your pod, you could then access them ‘offline’ and any messages would be there waiting or you when you got up in the morning for you to read before you got on with looking for signs of life outside 🙂

      Hi Canj24,

      I don’t think so. Internet will only become necessary after basic human needs are met like food, water, shelter and clothing are met.
