The computer is pretty hard to beat. The first one was built during the second war by an Englishman called Alan Turing. In the roughly seventy years since then they have completely changed the world so that they now are involved in pretty much every aspect of your lives. They control your phone, tv, banks, hospitals, all of the roads and infrastructure – literally everything that modern society relies on is down to computers.

The PC (agreed Chris) – I can’t imagine life now without them! – it would be strange without any TV’s too.

I agree with Tom – the internet for sure. We now have SO much information available just a click away. I think kids who have grown up with the internet are so quick and informed because of how readily available all this knowledge about anything you could possibly think about is.
