Thank you Amandeep 🙂 I took a peek at your profile. Given your love for maths, chemistry and product design, you could definitely get into a career like mine or similar! You’ve got a lot of potential!

For my GCSEs I took Maths Higher Level, English Literature and Language, Triple Sciences, Business Studies, History, Sport Studies, German and I.T.

My job title is a Production Manager. My main role is to lead a team of people who build and test broadcast cameras (which are used to film movies, tvshows and live-sporting events) – so I make sure they have all the materials, tools and training that they need.

I do a lot of planning and organising, as well as hold meetings with other departments. I am also responsible for the quality of my products – so if a camera is faulty and doesn’t pass test, it is my job to diagnose what’s wrong, figure out how to fix the problem and make sure it never happens again.

It’s very challenging, especially when things are busy or when several things go wrong all at once. But I really enjoy my work, I have a wonderful team of people and it’s super rewarding!
