  Only the rest of the world’s opinion of engineers – we are not nerds or geeks or techheads… we are talented and hard working people that help make the world as amazing as it is

  I agree with Tom really, the way that the rest of the world views engineers. I think engineering is quite poorly understood as a profession. In many cases, when I tell people that I am an engineer, they think that I perform MOTs on cars or install satellite dishes (these are very skilled jobs but it isn’t engineering).

  I agree with Tom and Chris, It’s why we’re all participating in this event, to show that engineers are not weird and that engineering is diverse and it affects all parts of life. Most people have a stereotypical view of engineers as geeks who have no life!
