Question: If you win the money would you focus on encouraging female youth to become engineers specifically or would you encourage both genders all the same?

I would invest the money in a scheme that focuses on both genders all the same. I would want all kids, regardless of being a boy or girl, to have a fun learning opportunity – I don’t think it would be fair to leave anyone out.

We do have schemes at Sony aimed at encouraging girls into engineering. I also do some mentoring for specifically girls for this purpose as well – it is something I find important but because both genders will be voting and contributing in this competition, both genders will benefit from the money 🙂
