• Question: What is the most complicated part of being a controls engineer?

      In my Company their is only me that is a controls engiener – so if I’m unsure how to do something I have to do a lot of research rather then getting advise off others. Also a lot of things are relying on the controls being correctt – an air handling unit would be pointless if my controls didnt read the temperature and tell some hot water to pump through a coil making the air that passes across it warm.
      Also we sometimes use electric heaters (fan assisted heaters – sometimes have them in caravans) if there is no air blowing over these and they are on full tilt the AHU and building could set on fire – so it is really important that i design the controls correctly.
