The beauty of science and technology is that they are always improving and changing the world around us, there are lots of things that are going to do be different in 30 years time because of technology.

If I had to pick one, I would go for artificial intelligence. As computers become less reliant on humans to do the thinking for us, people will change the kind of jobs they are doing and how we live.

      Hi Crunchy,
Medicinal science has already had a vast effect on the world and I see that continuing. new antibiotics, antivirals, cancer treatments and high tech interventional techniques such as nano bots or smart medicine will improve the life span and life quality of everyone.
It is the developing world that needs this tech most, so new innovations in miniaturising and reproducing scans and medical techniques so they can be used in areas where money and electricity are in short supply are crucial.

      Hi Crunch,

I agree with Chris that science and technology always evolves.
I think we have not really finished seeing the impact of the Internet.

If I’ll pick one, it’ll be self-driving cars, I think once they become wide spread, I think it’ll grossly change our transport systems.

I agree wth everyone – its evolving around us. Things that have already been invented are being looked at and used for different things.

I think retner & finger print scanners will have a huge impact – surely soon we wont need any cads (or even to have them linked to your phones) you will just have a card linked to you as a person. Won’t need keys it will just be beased on recognition of the owner.. etc.

Everyone has posted really good answers – I agree with them all.

If I were to think of something different to what’s been said, I think alternative sources of sustainable energy will make a huge impact to our future as we know it. At the moment, we are past the tipping point of ruining our planet. Hopefully, this push for green energy will help the fight to save the world we live in !
